Find the therapy that best suits your needs.

There are hundreds of intervention strategies and theories about what the best treatments are for psychological wellbeing. My approach is to meet you where you’re at and collaborate with you to come up with the best course of action. During the first few weeks of working together, we will explore your unique story and try to determine what is the best plan for your therapeutic journey!

Some Modalities

Mindfulness

Mindfulness in therapy focuses on learning how to be aware of thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations, and situations in the present moment. Some of the benefits of mindfulness are increased ability to self regulate, reduced repetitive negative thinking, and self-compassion. There is no “one size fits all” in mindfulness, so together we can explore different aspects of mindfulness to see what works best for you and your unique situation.

Art Therapy

Sometimes words aren’t enough. Art in therapy encourages creative expression of feelings you might not be able to verbalize. It allows for a deeper personal understanding of your own situation, as well as offers insight to the therapist and encourages discussion in therapy to help further explore together.

I often hear clients say, “I’m not creative”. But here’s the thing… you are human, you are creative! You just have to give yourself permission to let it come out.

Psychoeducation

What’s going on? Sometimes life can be so overwhelming and we don’t know where to start to understand what we’re going through and what we need to get through it.
I will share relevant information and resources with you, specific to your unique needs, including books, podcasts, videos, and articles.

Talk It Out

It’s been around for over one hundred years, so there’s something to be said for traditional talk therapy. Venting about current stressors in a safe, nonjudgemental place, can be cathartic and validating. Talk therapy can make a significant difference in how you feel by helping to identify issues that are causing emotional distress.
